After performing to almost 30,000 at The Gabba on Saturday for Australia’s biggest sporting event in the 2020 Toyota AFL Grand Final, Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO) has announced a third concert for the November Maestro Concert program.

The final Maestro Concerts of the year will be held on Saturday 21 November at 3pm and 8pm.

Due to demand, a third concert has just been announced, to be held at 7.30pm on Friday 20 November.

The finale trio of Maestro concerts will feature a spectacular performance of Beethoven’s mighty ‘Emperor’ Piano Concerto and Resphighi’s glorious Pines of Rome.

Queensland Symphony Orchestra Chief Executive Craig Whitehead said the Orchestra was thrilled to be able to reclaim these concerts from the 2020 Season, and to celebrate one of the greatest composers who ever lived, in Beethoven.

The concerts will be performed in the Concert Hall at QPAC, and are being staged as part of the Queensland major performing arts companies’ program, Queensland’s Own.
