Travellers are on alert after Balinese volcano Mount Agung erupted again, sending a plume of ash into the sky.

Jetstar passengers had some delays on flights out of Denpasar last night and the airline is continuing to monitor the situation. As yet, no flights are cancelled.

The active volcano erupted at 3:21AM on Sunday and sent a drizzle of volcanic ash in the Karangasem, Bangli and Klunglung districts, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, a spokesman for the national disaster mitigation agency, said.

There are no reports of casualties but a four-kilometre exclusion zone is in place around the volcano.
