In Sydney today it’s due to hit 26C according to the Bureau of Meteorology, while our west will reach 32C.
This is almost nothing compared to the temperatures that we’ll experience on Friday though, with the CBD set to soar to a scorching 33C and an unbelievable 37C in the city’s western suburbs.
It will be much the same in other capital cities. Adelaide is expected to reach 31C today and 36C on Thursday, while Melbourne will hit 33C on Thursday.
Brisbane is set to hit 33C on Saturday but sea breezes should keep the heat under control.
Perth will have temperatures of high 20s throughout the week before climbing up to 32C on Saturday.
Conditions across southern and eastern states are set to ease by Sunday.
Remember to stay safe in the hot weather by drinking plenty of water and wearing sun protection like sunscreen and hats.
