Remember the joy you felt reading about Winnie The Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and their bunch of ragtag friends going on adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood? Yeah, well, someone wants to ruin those memories forever.

A.A. Milne’s 1926 collection of ‘Winnie-the-Pooh’ books have recently entered the “public domain” which means they are no longer protected by intellectual property laws like copyright, trademark or patent laws aka anybody can use the character names, imagery or story line.

That means you could write your own Winne the Pooh books, make a cute cartoon, or (if you’re a crazy person) turn Winnie the Pooh into a mass murderer in a slasher film. Yep, you read that correctly. Winnie the Pooh is soon to star in a slasher/horror film called Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. While no plot details have been made available just yet a picture paints a thousand words and oh my god these pictures are terrifying.

Either someone donning a ‘Winnie the Pooh’ mask or a strange human/bear hybrid thing goes on a murder spree joined by a deranged reimagining of our beloved little Piglet. The internet is in a little meltdown over these first photos so we’re sure more details will come to light soon. We’ll keep you posted when we learn more!
