While this may sound like the plotline of an early 2000’s Bruce Willis film, it actually happened. TMZ even have the in-flight audio to prove it!

While en route to Europe, a cargo plane had to make an emergency landing in New York City once the four-legged passenger escaped their… seat? The horse broke out of its stall and was roaming around the cargo hold which, I guess, caused some issues. Personally, I think it would be fine to let the horse stretch its legs on such a long flight but then again I know literally nothing about aerodynamics.

The flight did eventually make it from NYC to Belgium after the horse was re-secured and checked over by a vet, giddy-up!
